Building a Race Fuel FAQ
I've been trying to get a handle on which fuels are available and where. Can you guys please help me out?

I know a lot of tracks have installed credit card pumps with race fuel. I would like to build a master list of what fuels are available at those pumps.

For example, I believe Mid-Ohio has Sunoco 93, 98, 100, and 110. But I'm not sure. I think the Speedway Station in town also has Cam2 (actually Sunoco) 110? Can someone please confirm this?

Calabogie near Ottawa Canada has only 94 available at the local Mumford (actually Sunoco 94).

Mont-Tremblant net Montreal Canada has only 94 Petro Canada at the town gas station.

Mosport has Sunoco 94, 104, and 110 leaded I believe. I need to confirm.

Once I get more details, I will build a FAQ also also list the characteristics of the fuels.

I think this FAQ will be a big help as we travel.

Thanks
Peter

I found a vague reference to Beaverun having 93, 100, 110 & 112. Presumably Sunoco. Can someone please confirm?

Here is an interesting link on the topic from ESPN:

A Lesson in Racing Fuels 101
Don't expect to find the same fuel NASCAR uses at your nearest Sunoco gas station. Racing fuels are formulated to make horsepower and nothing else.

Also some spec from Sunoco on Racing Fuels. Digging down you will find all the details.

I use Sunoco GT PLUS 104 unleaded
You cannot have it at Sebring, VIR, NJ Thunderbolt, Mosport, Watkins Glen
At all these premises, they have Sunoco GT 100 unleaded and leaded 110
No fuel at Tremblant's track.

I have been blending Sunoco 94 with Ontario Competition Fuels Mark II (110 unleaded).

When we headed down to Sebring, I looked for 110 unleaded along the way, and found none!

Apparently many Sunoco stations sell 110 leaded and 100 unleaded at the pump, and I found 100 unleaded at a regular Sunoco station. Here is an official list of US locations:

http://www.sunocoinc.com/site/Consumer/RaceFuels/260GT100Locations/

Price was $7.50/gallon (same price for 110 leaded). That was a bit cheaper than buying Mark II for $3/litre, and blending it with 94 octane (Ontario prices).

You often see Cam2 race gas sold at non-Sunoco stations. Cam2 is Sunoco rebranded so it does not look like their competitor.

Autobahn Country Club has Sunoco 93 and 104 unleaded and 110 leaded. I don't recall seeing 112 leaded at BeaveRun, but that can be attributed to old age....and dementia..

For Canadians frustrated by the gas pumps asking for a ZIP code there is a solution!

Take the three numbers from your Postal Code and add 2 zeros. e.g. M1N 2V3 becomes 12300. And Presto! It works. Only works for VISA.

This was discovered by an attendant at a Sunoco along I90. He said he was really bored one night and started experimenting. He must have been r-e-a-l-l-y bored. I think he's in the wrong line of work. He should be working for the NSA.
