I've noticed since the last time I checked this site out that they have added tracks we know such as Mosport, Sebring, VIR, Watkins Glen and Barber. Has anyone joined and tried this out? |

When I went to Barber in November it looked into it but ended up using rFactor software instead. I didn't like the idea of paying an ongoing monthly fee.
I bought and downloaded rFactor online for something like $50 one time only and it does pretty much the same thing. Also, the value I saw was in learning tracks I had never been to before rather than ones I had. I'm not sure how much a simulator is going to teach you about your home track.
Apparently the steering wheel to get is the Logitech G25. It's pricey though. |

Personally I like the site. I go there all the time. Especially since Summit Point is my home track. What I find to be truly amazing is how accurate the graphics are. Yes I understand you don't get all the feel of the track or of actually driving the car but look at it from a training stand point. It's the best you'll get unless you are willing to step up to a real racing simulator, but I'd rather take that $10-15k and put it into my car. My point is, that for me the $17.00 a month is money that would have gotten pissed away, instead I get something out of it. To each his own as they say. |

I'm on iRacing.com They are constantly adding new tracks and cars. They have a promotion going on right now: 3 months for $25 ($50 regular). I suggest any diehard racer to check it out. It's more than just a game, but for those that don't see it like that, it's not really for you then. It's something more that you have to be more dedicated to in order to get the full benefit of it. All of the tracks are laser scanned down to the smallest tire marks and quarter sized bumps. They are as accurate as you can get to the real thing. The cars are even better. The quality and detail built into each car is simply amazing. |

i'm on there. graphics and realism are very good. the only downside i see is that you need to spend a lot of time to go up the levels, and during the summer i'd rather be driving for real. great winter training tool though. |
