I wonder if you could come close by mixing small styrofoam beads into my paint, or do they have to be dimples and not bumps? You'd think that lots of little bumps would also create that turbulent boundary layer. |

Myth Busters just proved a real 11% increase in fuel mileage with the dimple effect. They also seemed to legitimately disprove the dirty car myth of better fuel economy. |

From what I understand cuts around the headlights and grill create enough boundary layer to have a significant effect. |
