I see redundant messages "A and B are friends" and "B and A are friends".

The "remember me" for the login does not seem to work

It should actually say remember my username. It does not save the password. Thanks

I want to post a WTB ad in the classifieds but can't find the "new topic" button. Any help? Should I send my ad to the websmaster for approval first?

You can do that under My Apps - Classifieds

Actually, it doesn't do that either.  I get blanks in both boxes (yes, I have cookies on, if that's what it uses).

Any reason why password should not be saved also?  No big deal, but it's not like this is a DND web site :)  (yes, I'm that lazy!)

Here's another one for you: Viewing messages with wide pictures causes the text to be hidden, since the site does not grow to accomodate it. No scrollbars either. See this thread for an example: www.driversmeeting.com/forum/topic/6/index/127

For the username What browser is it? It seems to work for everyone else. Could it be your antispyware software?

Peter; I tried to post a "Discussion Topic" in the Speed Secrets group. All seemed fine - until it asked for the Confirmation code. 5 or 6 attempts to enter the numeric code - all returned error messages (saying I input wrong code). Note - I am working on a HP Notebook - without numeric keypad.

I have not heard this before. I think they are case sensitive. Also Google Chrome has had some problems.

You probably already know about this one, but the new host isn't working out so well: "Maximum CGI processes concurrency limit of 15 exceeded.Currently serving the following requests:"

I solved some more bugs that were a result of our hosting change.

The verification numbers are working again. This was preventing new registrations and posting in some areas like groups. I know these codes are a pain but if we don't use them, robots will find the site and start filling it with spam.

I think I also found the reason that people were getting logged out frequently. Please let me know if this is still a problem.

We also had a service outage yesterday that was related to the hosting company and not the site itself. I think the outage was worse for us as the move to the new hosting company happened at the same time. The two events aggravated each other.

Thanks again for your patience. This site is still very new and it takes time to work all the glitches out.

(what was the pricelessly funny stuff ? - edited with firefox 3 - and ie7 - and ie6)

Test: Can I edit this message?

Nope. I pressed the edit key. Updated the message entering additional pricelessly funny text, hit submit, and viola. No update. Edit does not work. If once you fail, perhaps parachuting is not for you.

Worked for me. What browser exactly are you using? PC or Mac? Also do you have any software that might be interfering with Javascript? Try also clearing your browser cache.

There have been issues with the Google Chrome browser. In that case it's the browser.

Confirmed - the editor does not work with Google Chrome. I tried 3 times. It will be a great browser when it's done. I actually use it as much as I can now. But there are stiil lots of thing that break with it. So you can't rely on Chrome yet...

It seems there is a newer version of the editor that does work with Chrome. The Blog component uses it (these components came from different vendors). I will see if I can get that upgraded on both.

Thanks for being the guiney pig.

When signing up it asks for a username (the one displayed above my avatar here). If I enter something too long or having a space it complains that the username should be alphanumeric. That is not very clear and it took me a couple tries to get it to accept my input. A more informative prompt may help (number of letters limit, etc.) plus better error reporting, of course. Thank you for your efforts, Peter.

That's it. Just try to pry my cold dead fingers off of chrome. I'll just try to get things right the first time.

Depending apparently on which window I log in from I get logged right back out. Other times I stay logged in. One window remembers me and my password. Another login window doesn't. One of these things is not the same as the others.

Probably more chrome problems. I don't have a lot of problems elsewhere, although nothing but IE7 works inside my company.

Still happening. I tried to update the post above a couple of times. I'll try with IE now since I've got it up.

I was able to edit this using IE7.

I use IE 7 and FireFox 3.0.6.  I don't run any anti-spyware.  The same issue at work and at home.  I don't have any problems with otehr sites that remember logins.  Is it just a cookie it uses?
