Is there anybody in Canada providing trackday insurance for physical damage to your car?I checked with my insurance guy today and this is the answer that I got back for coverage while on track. "I have actually, The auto policy does exclude all coverages for any speed test, timed events etc... No one has been able to provide an answer as to if there would be coverage if it was for a training course. I have contacted Bannatyne Adjusters and their comments were as long as it is not a race, speed test or timed event that coverage should extend. However they said if the Insurance company wanted to deny they could and it would be a big fight to try and get coverage. We feel the insurance companies would do whatever they could to make it seem that it was a race etc... "
Sure seems like a crapshot if your covered or not. |

I think the general concensis is you do not have coverage, besides unless you do substantial damage do you want to admit to the insurance you are on the track with your street car? this is the main reason I have cheap cars I trailer to and from events-nothing to really lose |
